What to expect
Most of a solar system's value comes from the power you use yourself. A system that matches your daytime use saves more than a bigger one that mostly exports to the grid for very little back.
So we start with your power bills and your roof, not a standard package. If your bill is already small, we'll say so and suggest something cheaper.
As panels have got more efficient, a standard 6.6 kW system needs fewer of them on the roof than it used to. Or we can go bigger, with more panels and a larger inverter, so there's little to no power bill.

Questions we get asked about solar installation.
How big a system do I need?
It depends on how much power you use and when. Your bills tell us most of that. Bigger isn't always better, so we size to your use and your roof, then show you the numbers.
Can I add a battery later?
Often, yes. If a battery is possible down the track, tell us up front so we choose the inverter and switchboard with that in mind.
Does my switchboard need upgrading first?
Older boards often need work before solar can go on. We check it on the site visit and quote it with the solar, so it's one job and, where we can, one visit.
Do you install solar for businesses?
Yes. Business and industrial sites need the load, the tariff and the switchboard looked at together, so we quote the electrical work and the solar as one job.
